FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER THE EPIPHANY
Double Green
Epistle (Romans 13, 8-10)
Gospel (Matthew 8, 23-27)
During the Church year, the number of Sundays after Epiphany and Pentecost are contingent upon the date of Easter. Easter Sunday is always the first Sunday after the first full moon of Spring. There can be up to six Sundays after Epiphany and twenty-eight Sundays after Pentecost. If Easter is earlier in the year, the Epistles and Gospels for the later Sundays after Pentecost, they are taken from the Sundays after Epiphany that were not celebrated.
